Position:  Supervisor / Working Lead –  Reno-Northern Nevada<br>
<br>
Division: Janitorial<br>

Summary: <br>
<br>
The Supervisor / Working Lead is responsible for daily operations of a given district and/or district office. The qualified person will oversee training, job compliance, quality control, safety, and recruitment, and will report directly to the Northern  Regional Manager, respectively. Above managing day-to-day operations, the Supervisor / Working Lead will assist in the overall organization and administration of the District Office (to include): material inventory, maintenance, equipment, payroll, reports and documentation.  The qualified candidate must be an expert on all forms of floor care (carpet and VCT maintenance) and window cleaning. Approximately half of the qualified candidates time will be spent supervising and the other half completing floor care and other cleaning requirement duties. He/ she must be bi-lingual (SPANISH AND ENGLISH A MUST) and have the ability to proficiently communicate both verbally and in written form. He/she must have experience leading and directing individuals and must be able to exercise excellent time management. The qualified candidate must have a valid Nevada State driver’s license, excellent driving record, be able to pass a criminal background check and be drug-free.   <br>
<br>
Basic Functions (not all-inclusive):<br>
<br>
•	Responsible for overall production in a given district (15-50 customer premise locations).<br>
•	Visit each site to ensure janitor accountability (approximately 50%).<br>
•	Responsible to complete all floor care and window cleaning services for the respective clients. These services include stripping and refinishing, scrubbing and recoating, burnishing, carpet cleaning (using the wet extraction method and spin bonnet. Training will be provided by Calico to ensure standards and expectations are met. <br>
•	Responsible for managing and directing janitors and the completion of customer site specific special services: floor care and window washing, etc., to customer and Calico standards.<br>
•	Under the assistance and direction of Regional Manager, the Supervisor will manage hiring, training, and disciplining personnel.<br>
•	Responsible for training new janitors, floor care specialists, and window cleaners/pressure wash crews on Calico’s processes and procedures.<br>
•	Responsible for ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep of all office equipment, tools, and vehicles.<br>
•	Main “point-of-contact” for service related issues. <br>
•	Shipping and receiving inventory and company correspondence.<br>
•	Administrative duties may or may not include, inventory management, payroll submittal, managing petty cash, office supplies, fleet vehicles, and office maintenance and organization.<br>
•	Work closely with Human Resources to ensure proper employee documentation is completed.<br>
•	Complete monthly safety training with janitors and hourly employees.<br>
•	Complete quarterly site safety inspections.<br>
•	Workload scheduling.<br>
•	Manage resources (tools, supplies, and equipment) in an effective manner.  <br>
•	Complete hands-on portion of semi-annual janitor training<br>
•	Recommend opening of work orders as needed.<br>
•	Conflict resolution.<br>
•	Must be available 24/7 for emergency calls.  <br>
•	These functions will change as company needs evolve. <br>

Minimum Requirements:<br>
<br>
•	High School diploma or equivalency<br>
•	Drug Free and Clean Record<br>
•	Three to five (3-7) years floor care experience and industry experience <br>
•	Bilingual  SPANISH A MUST ,with excellent communication skills<br>
•	Excellent driving record (position will require 80% driving)<br>
•	Reliable Transportation (position MAY require the use of personal vehicle) – Mileage will be paid<br>
•	Be able to sit, stand, kneel, climb a ladder, and lift equipment and materials weighing over 60 lbs.<br>
•	Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook…)<br>

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY:<br>
<br>
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Lassen Indian Health Center including management of the profit and loss statement for the health center’s business, as well as the related resources associated with the health center operation.  In this capacity, the COO carries responsibility for integrating the strategic plan of the organization with the operations.  Through the health center structure, the COO provides management oversight for the development of high quality, cost effective and integrated programs within the health center.  <br>
This includes ensuring that LIHC staff is properly selected, trained, and managed.  The management portfolio held by this leader is notably diverse, with corresponding broad organization implications and complexity, characterized by substantial scope of responsibility in this respect.   The COO will exercise management responsibility over the health center ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, providers, the public and staff.  This will either be done directly, or through delegation of responsibility to the management staff.  He or she will be responsible for the overall fiscal management, regulatory compliance, and marketing of the LIHC.<br>

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
<br>
1.	Appropriately and accurately represents the Lassen Indian Health Center at the Health System Board of Directors level; Communicate key information with respect to managed care, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and customer-focused services.<br>
<br>
2.	Establishes a market presence through networking activities and opportunities.<br>
<br>
3.	Develops a Community Relations Committee to include all outreach personnel to plan and implement exposure opportunities for LIHC.<br>
<br>
4.	Represents the health center to the external market through the application of community relations and marketing activities.<br>
<br>
5.	Develops new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance.<br>
<br>
6.	Communicate key information with respect to managed care, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and customer-focused services.<br>
<br>
7.	Functions as an effective liaison and intermediary between Tribal Business Council / Tribal Health Board and the health center.<br>
<br>
8.	Provides a detailed report on health center operations at each regularly scheduled Health Board meeting.<br>
<br>
9.	Complies with tribal, federal, and state laws, codes and regulations by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed action.<br>
<br>
10.	Assist the Tribal Business Council / Health Board in interpreting the policies, directives, and instructions of funding agencies and other federal, state, local and private, funding sources.  Develops and maintains close interagency working relationships with federal, state, local, public, and private agencies.<br>
<br>
11.	Enforces Tribal Business Council / Tribal Health Board decisions by developing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.  Informs employees of changes through employee training sessions, memos, and staff meetings.<br>
<br>
12.	Meets regularly with staff to discuss changes, organization direction, and activities.<br>
<br>
13.	Develops and fosters an effective collaboration between clinical departments, providers, leadership, staff, and other affiliated services (inside and outside of the health center) to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling the health center’s goals and objectives.<br>
<br>
14.	Facilitates the development of health center services and displays an ability to work effectively within the health system’s decision making and organizational structures.<br>
<br>
15.	Oversees major workforce and resource decisions for the health center.<br>
<br>
16.	Works through the management team and medical leadership of the health center, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives.<br>
<br>
17.	Plan, directs, and evaluates the proper administration of grants and contracts from various funding agencies.<br>
<br>
18.	Achieves financial objectives by developing and recommending annual budget(s), scheduling, expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, anticipating long-term issues, reviewing monthly cash receipts and disbursements for all programs and projects.  Monitors expenditures and is responsible for financial planning.<br>
<br>
19.	Works closely with the Billing Department to ensure optimum revenue capture from Third Party payers and patients.<br>
<br>
20.	Works collaboratively with the health center leadership, administration, providers, and staff to develop and implement well-balanced programs designed to ensure the operation and strategic success of the Lassen Indian Health Center.<br>
<br>
21.	Analyzes and utilizes information to develop and support management decisions.<br>
<br>
22.	Expands outreach activities and specialty referral networks to ensure effective partnerships are formed which will facilitate the development of a comprehensive and geographically dispersed integrated health care system.<br>
<br>
23.	Leads and supports key committees pertaining to services.<br>
<br>
24.	Accountable for the overall success of operations of the Lassen Indian Health Center; will lead and oversee the development of operating and strategic plans.<br>
<br>
25.	Facilitates systems, program development, quality, fiscal management, compliance and clinical management measures, physician relationship, outreach strategies, work culture enhancement and internal communication and consensus-building.<br>
<br>
26.	Ensures resources are focused on satisfying the health care needs of those we serve.<br>
<br>
27.	Secures accreditation through a nationally recognized health care accreditation organization.  Secures related licensing as needed.<br>
<br>
28.	Prepares grant applications, including budgets.<br>
<br>
29.	Writes, publishes and distributes an employee-friendly policies and procedures booklet within 90 days of employment.<br>
<br>
30.	Meets with the Tribal Administrator monthly to discuss problems, issues, or other elements necessary to ensure constant, effective, and focused communication about LIHC.<br>
<br>
31.	Contributes to the team effort by participating in the Susanville Indian Rancheria’s facility wide program improvements, goals, and standards.<br>

QUALIFICATIONS<br>

1.	Masters degree in Health Administration, Business, or Public Administration.<br>
<br>
2.	10 years experience in responsible health center operations at the administrative leadership level.<br>
<br>
3.	5 years experience in health center administration in an outpatient setting.<br>
<br>
4.	Demonstrated leadership and complex organization management skills.<br>
<br>
5.	Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.<br>
