I bought it from a friend who had no idea what he was doing so he asked me to work on it for him when he decided the shop charged to much to fix the oil leak it had when he bought it. It had been sitting for several years without being started but when i replaced the battery and pulled the choke then it fired right up on old gas. I drained the tank right away and put a gallon of good fuel in it and was gonna clean the tank and rebuild or at least clean the carb but that is when the guy decided he didnt like it when the moped he also just got slid out from under him in the rain twice in one day on his first time out, so he sold them both and i got first chance at this cuz i had helped him out. It has been sitting in the shed ever since and i start it every couple of months just to keep the gasketts wet. The power suprised me considering its age and need of carb attention and is in good shape but i need the money worse than it. My sister-in-law is the original owner of this scooter so it has stayed in the family. I used it for 5 years when I lived in San Francisco. It's a awesome gas-saving vehicle in great condition as it has only been used sporadically throughout its life which is the reason for the low mileage. I replaced both the rear tire and the seat, as well as had a major tune-up performed on it several years ago. It currently needs only a front brake cable (about $11) and a rear-view mirror ($75 for entire assembly). I replaced the battery ($40) a couple weeks ago to make sure it still runs which is does, but needs a tune-up from sitting through a couple winters. All signal/brake lights, horn and auto-start work great.
