I have more than 15 years experience repairing and restoring classic American cars, as well as considerable experience with later model vehicles. I work mobile, so I can take care of your car wherever you are located.
I am detail-oriented, persistent, punctual and reliable. I'm also honest. I stand behind all the work that I do, and I stick to things that I know are within my skill set. I'm an experienced diagnostician, and it's always my goal to solve every problem the right way the first time, without selling you on repairs or parts replacements that you don't need. I have always been honest about the way I do business and how I treat my customers, as I'd much rather make you happy and keep your business in the long term, rather than try to make a fortune off of you every time you come in like so many shops like to do.
I have considerable experience with ~1975 and earlier classic American cars, and have done everything from minor tune-ups to major restoration work. I've worked on everything from rusty derelicts that are on their last legs, to $100k show cars with flawless paint and such. I know how to be careful around a nice car and treat it with the same respect that you do. These are the cars that I really love and enjoy working on the most. Having said that, most of the vehicles on the road today are much newer, and I understand the need to keep them on the road as well.
I can work on your vehicle at your place of choice, be it your home, work, whatever. The distance I'm willing to travel out depends on the work you need done(or whether I can schedule something else on the way), but suffice to say, the bigger the job, the farther I'll travel. I have worked everywhere from Yerington to lake Tahoe to Fallon to Pyramid lake and everywhere in between.
I generally charge an hourly rate for most work, based on an honest assessment of how much actual productive time I have into it. If I spend eight hours on something, but feel I only put about six productive hours into it, I'll charge you for six. That's how I've always done it and it has always worked well for me. However, for simpler jobs(like brakes on any modern vehicle, as an example) I just quote a set price for the job. I'm happy to elaborate further if you have any questions.
If you have any questions and/or want to talk about having some work done, **please make sure you provide all of the following details in your email**:
Phone number to reach you
Your general location (i.e. "south Reno", "Stead", etc)
The year/make/model of your vehicle
The work you need done on said vehicle
Please note: due to prolific spammers, flakes and time-wasters, you MUST include your phone number in your email response or you will not get a reply.
I also have experience working on equipment and machinery besides just cars and trucks as well, so please don't hesitate to ask if you have something else that needs attention.
