Up for sale is my 2006 Porsche Cayenne S with 106,000 miles. It has a salvage title, so I'll address that up front.
I purchased it from a Copart auction in Denver at approximately 66,000 miles after it sustained front-end damage. There was no airbag deployment. With over 65 years of family experience in the auto body industry (and 15+ years myself), I was confident in purchasing and rebuilding this vehicle because it was a one-owner Cayenne with an exceptional Porsche dealer service history. It had been serviced roughly every 4,000 miles, which is rare to find on a 955.
Since rebuilding it, I've driven it over 40,000 miles of road trips and adventures. It's completed multiple 1,000+ mile road trips, towed my jet ski to Lake Havasu in 118° heat, and hauled our rooftop tent on camping trips through Oregon and Idaho. It has been an incredibly dependable SUV and has never left me stranded.
During my ownership, all maintenance has been performed by a factory-trained independent Porsche shop, with over $5,000 invested in preventative maintenance, including:
Transmission service
Front and rear differential services
Transfer case service - $2500 @ 100k
Coolant pipe upgrade - $3400 @ 80k
New AGM battery - $200 @ 100k
Regular oil changes and routine maintenance
Additional preventative repairs as needed
Upgrades:
Five BFGoodrich KO2 tires on wheels - $800
Eurowise bull bar - $300
Eurowise lower valence - $300
Eurowise rear bumper with tow package - $2100
Eurowise roof rack - $1600
Rooftop tent - $1000
Apple CarPlay - $600
Custom exhaust - $400
I specifically chose this Cayenne because of its outstanding service history, and it has proven to be exactly what I hoped it would be—a reliable, well-maintained Porsche that's ready for the next adventure.
The vehicle is being sold as-is. Photos of the original auction damage are available, along with photos after the repairs, so buyers can see exactly what was fixed.
I'm not in a hurry to sell it, and I'm not giving it away. If you're looking for a perfect, clean-title collector vehicle, this probably isn't it. If you're looking for a well-maintained, extensively serviced, well-equipped Cayenne that's proven itself over the last 40,000 miles, this deserves a look.
$12,000 OBO. Turn the key and drive it anywhere with confidence.
