Unique 4x4 (4wd) Ford Econoline E250 camper van for sale! This van is truly one of a kind. The base is a 2004 Ford Econoline E250 4.6L V8, gas, automatic transmission with 150,916 miles. In 2020, it was converted to 4x4 with lift at Timberline Supply in Golden, Colorado. We bought it from friends and have enjoyed it for the last 2.5 years, but our family has grown and we need a vehicle with more than 2 seats. It’s a perfect rig for the desert, Baja, or anywhere that requires serious off-roading. You’ll never stop for gas without onlookers and admirers— trust me.
In addition to routine maintenance, ball joints, and new tires, this van got a NEW remanufactured engine in 2023. The camper build-out is basic but functional. It has a bed with a comfortable mattress, flares on both sides for added sleeping width, a propane heater and 3-burner stove, with external propane tank underneath.
Lights and power supplied by rooftop solar accessed by ladder on the passenger side. Cruise control was installed at some point but is no longer functional. The passenger seat swivels, and there are basic but functional curtains for privacy. There are some minor cosmetic dings and scratches throughout consistent with the van’s age. Happy to find out the answers to any questions you have that I can’t answer. (More detailed work history below.)
