Cottonwood has been the restaurant on the hill in Truckee since 1989. Our regulars are families who have been coming here for three generations, locals who ski before their shift, and couples celebrating anniversaries at the same table they sat at on their first date. The feeling we chase, every single service, is that you just walked into a relative's house. Welcomed. Comfortable. Taken care of. They're like our family.
We are looking for one person to be the first face those guests see and the last voice they hear. This is a host role, and it is also a shift supervisor role, which means you will learn the business side of hospitality from day one. No restaurant experience required. We will teach you everything.

What the Work Actually Looks Like.
You will greet guests, manage the waitlist, seat tables, and answer the phone. On your supervisor shifts you will be the person the team looks to when something goes sideways, whether that is a delayed ticket, a guest who is unhappy, or a call-out that changes your labor plan. You will work alongside a team we are genuinely proud of.
The Basics
$22-23/hr plus tips. California Food Handlers Card is required within 30 days of employment. Non-slip closed-toe shoes. Able to be on your feet and lift 20 lbs throughout a shift. Nights and weekends are part of the job.
