Perfect for that old style Southwest Reno home. This likely came down from Virginia City at some point.

Check out the gorgeous ormolu mount (bronze feet) on all four legs, not just the front legs. This style of leg is known as cabriole.

These types of tables were intended for the refined 19th-century parlor. They served as a side table and, upon opening the top, a music stand to hold sheet music for a pianist, violinist, or singer.

This is considered a specialized portfolio table or sheet music stand, which served as a "whatnot" or reading table when not holding music.

Would make a fantastic entry table.
