UCP Staffing is currently hiring for an Asbestos Certified Technician to join a team focused on safety, compliance, and professional hazardous material removal.
🔹 Position Overview:
The Asbestos Certified Technician is responsible for the safe identification, monitoring, removal, and disposal of hazardous asbestos-containing materials in commercial and residential environments. This role helps ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations while protecting workers and building occupants from toxic exposure.
🛠️ Core Responsibilities:
✔️ Seal off contaminated work areas
✔️ Safely remove, package, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials
✔️ Use specialized tools and heavy-duty PPE
✔️ Follow strict OSHA and EPA safety procedures
✔️ Maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site
✅ Required Qualifications:
• AHERA Certification required
• Must pass respiratory fit test and medical physical
• State licensing / certifications required as applicable
• Ability to wear full protective gear for extended periods
• Must be physically capable of demanding work in confined spaces
