Great Christmas gift! That is what I did 30 years ago. One of the best gifts I ever got my wife :) Make an offer on this beautiful Steinway Rococo Redwood Square Baby Grand piano. Gorgeous, and I have reduced the price. I have been trying to find out more about this piano. Steinway informed me that the piano was crafted in New York City in 1877 and then sold to a private client in Memphis TN that same year. Memphis was a very small town then and there could only have been a few individual families who could have afforded this piano. The saga continues! I do not want to include this piano in my remodel of this room. It is NOW a dining room rather than a living room. Although this is a great piano, the remodel of this room is more important to me right now as I get the house ready to sell so I can downsize. This piano is a work of art built in 1877 during the Gilded Age and is a fine example of American craftsmanship in a musical instrument; what a beautiful piece of furniture this is!! All the ivory keys are in very good shape. The Reno Steinway dealer sold one of these for $70,000 a few years ago. I have researched online and most restored ones like this are $30,000-$35,000 and this one is fully functional with no need for restoration. Look on line at the Antique Piano Shop ( ) for examples of this piano. I saw one in Carson City for $30,000. There was one at the local consignment shop this week and it was not nearly as nice. It wasn't in the more desirable rosewood, but it was nice. This resulted in an adjustment of my price to be competitive with the local market. I am motivated so make an offer I can't refuse! If you always wanted one of these rare collectibles, don't miss this opportunity. If you are going to play a piano, you might as well do it in style with the very best name in grand pianos! It is an absolutely great price. Look at these pictures!! If you always wanted one of these pianos, you would have trouble finding a nicer one. These pictures will show you it is complete and in very good working order, so don't worry about needing or finding parts for this gorgeous collectible! Come and see it for yourself. It just needs to be moved and tuned. It hasn't been played by me in years so it really needs a thorough tuning. Moving it is easier than you think because the legs come off and pack separately leaving a closed rectangular box! Go online and compare this to those you see. Review all of these photos! This is a great example of the Golden Age of Piano Building. The stock market may rise and fall but the value of great antiques usually just increases each year. I think it is a great investment strategy.
