Got this 5-string Marcus Miller V7 2nd Gen bass just sitting here not getting used. Love this thing, have used it on numerous records and it sounds great. It has an active/passive switch and all the typical knobs of a fender jazz bass. I bought it new and it has only ever been used in the studio. It is in immaculate, like-new condition.

I tested it against the classic 5-string American Fender Jazz bass and although they sound a tad different, they're almost identical in tone, functionality, and playability. I also recently had the Sire set up properly by a bass tech pro (not a guitar tech, but an actual bass tech which can make a big difference!)

This bass kicks ass. Super playable. Smooth. Great tones for days.
