Phil Jones 12B bass cab. 12 five-inch Piranha drivers. No crossover, no tweeter. Just a massive array of drivers in an innovative cabinet. Gets loud, sounds super clean like a studio monitor on steroids. Not your typical bass guitar "16 dB bump below 200 Hz" flabb-ass bass tone. Much flatter. If you want that classic 60s bass tone, look elsewhere. If you want cabinet that just does low end, look elsewhere. If you tap, do a lot of harmonics, use a looper pedal with backing tracks, or anything else that requires a flatter, more full-range bass cab then this is a great choice. Never let me down. I also own the much smaller Phil Jones 6T cab that sits on top of this and that's the one I'm keeping -- it is enough for me and my needs.
Paid $1350 plus shipping when new for just the cabinet. World's fanciest, heaviest speakon cable was $100 and I think I paid about $75 for the cover. Asking just $650 for all three.
What's the catch? One caster is jacked up. It took a drop at an angle and bent one of them so the cab doesn't roll too smoothly until you angle it. It is an annoyance but doesn't affect sound quality.
You can demo it with my Dingwall bass and Phil Jones head or bring your own bass and head. It is available to demo at a garage sale this weekend on Cinder Village DR in Sparks, up in Wingfield Springs off of Hubble drive.
