Our project requires a dynamic lead singer, frontman/woman. This project will be a bar/club band. Historical experience in bands is required.
We're trying to walk a fine line with our selection between weekend warriors and soulless professionals. And honestly nothing against either group. Some of our current members lean towards soulless professionals. But we all have day jobs, and no one here thinks they're going to make an actual living doing this.
We're doing the big bands and big songs ONLY of the 1990's and early 2000's. We're not doing originals. We're not doing deep tracks. We're not doing obscure artists. We're doing only the hits, and we'd like to try to keep the songs upbeat if not danceable AF.
When seeing yourself in this project, please keep in mind: the 1990's was not just grunge (Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, et al). After 1993, Pop-Punk was a huge market (Blink-182, Green Day, Offspring, et al), as was straight up alternative rock (STP, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, et al) which continued into the early 2000's (The Strokes, Dandy Warhols, Incubus). All these genres are in the set lists.
The band rehearses every Saturday afternoon (1 to 3). There's a PA. There's mics. We don't want your first-born. We don't want your blood. We simply want you to be able to attend Saturday afternoon rehearsals on a consistent basis. We want you to learn the songs. And - of course - we want you to be able to make weekend evening gigs.
Think about it. This is a great opportunity for the right person. When you answer this ad, please include your phone number so we can reach out to you ASAP and give you more information.
