JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the office
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
Gather and verify patient medical history
Assist doctor during exams with data entry, instrument preparation, etc.
Assist with training patients for contact lens wear
Other duties as assigned
Salary is dependent on optical / optometric experience. Training on all procedures and equipment is provided.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid driver's license required.
A professional, positive, and friendly attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Direct customer service experience is required. Prior work experience in healthcare or optometry as a technician or optician is strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
