This position is primarily responsible for assisting our CEO to capture business insights and partner with our operations and other functional teams to support decision-making. The position will also assist with the implementation of business processes to improve accounting controls, efficiency and reporting. In this regard, this position will have a role in generating and improving the monthly, turnkey performance tracking for our customers. You will also interact with cross-functional leaders and the CEO/COO/CFO.
Qualifications:
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role
• Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software including PowerBI and Sequel
• Managing tight budgets and deadlines
• Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls
• Knowledge of fundamental cost accounting principles along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts
• Experience with Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required and understanding of NetSuite is beneficial
• Effective Communication Skills (written & verbal)
Responsibilities:
• Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis; discuss insights from analyses with cross functional management to support operational decisions
• Assist with quarterly forecasts and annual budget
• Analyze and report current monthly financial condition and operating performance of the company
• Analyze and report on trends in performance highlighting deviations from expectations
• Analyze proposed investments in capital projects and other strategic initiatives for adequate return on investment; be able to present alternatives and associated risk and opportunities of each option
• Compare anticipated and actual results by customers and identify potential opportunities for improvement
• Directly assist Operations and Sales teams with analysis of new sales opportunities through detailed pro forma analysis of key operating assumptions.
