Applied Behavior Technologies, LLC is seeking Behavior Technicians to work in the Reno, Carson City, Dayton, Silver Springs, Minden/Gardnerville Fernley and Fallon communities. Technicians will be working one-on-one with children who have autism or other intellectual disabilities within the child’s home. Technicians will be providing services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and implement teachings about social skills, safety skills, independence and other behavioral therapy components.
Applied Behavior Technologies provides all training (you are paid for training time) and prepares you to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). To become a RBT, you must pass the certification exam and obtain a Nevada license (ABT pays for this certification and license). This is a great position for those seeking degrees in Psychology, Social Work, HDFS, Public Health, Child Development, Education, Nursing, Speech Pathology, or others health related fields. The requirements for the position are:
-A minimum of 12 college credits
-At least 18 years of age
-Have a current driver’s license and reliable transportation
-You must be able to pass a background check
The salary during the initial 40-hours of training is 9.50/hour and within 6-9 months will be increased to 14.50/hour. Mileage is reimbursed according to IRS guidelines.
