Reducing my photographic collection
Collectible Argus C3 aka the “Brick”.
Formerly considered America's most popular camera.
Showing only very minor indications of use so would go great in a display but can be used for film photography.
I rate the camera body and lens as 98% original finish with overall very bright clean sides, top, bottom.
Fully functionable with all shutter speeds and bulb setting working
Serial number indicates 1965 manufacture date
The camera has been stored in my display case for the last 30 years.
Optics are in good working condition, no fungus, clear glass, no cleaning marks or rubs.
Rangefinder mechanism is smooth.
Bright polished chrome and aluminum with no oxidation and body shows only minor wear but no major scratches, no dents, or brassing.
Lens mount Screw mount
Lens Interchangeable with 35 mm and 100 mm optional lenses
Film format 35 mm
Film size 35 mm × 24 mm
Film advance Manual
Film rewind Manual
Focus via coupled rangefinder focusing from 3' to infinity
Electrical plugs on the cameras left side for a battery-powered flash, synchronized to the shutter.
Pressure plate and interior indicates the camera had extremely limited use.
The black leather camera case shows scuffing, rub marks, a small crack in the top cover the outside and cloth lining shows wear from carrying.
Adjustable original leather strap showing typical wear from carrying but no thinning for cuts in the leather.
The case is the model 6C29 with polished chrome trim and embossed with "Made in West-Germany" that is extremely hard to find and very excellent addition as a collectible.
