Currently offering up a room in a 3bd/1ba duplex home. The third bedroom is currently open as a room for someone looking for a long-term stable home for an adult life, not a party home.
The kitchen and living room are fully furnished with dishes, couch, flat screen and more. We currently have internet and apple tv to connect to things like Hulu and Netflix. There is also a storage room that has a washer and dryer in it and there is first come first serve drive way parking as well as street parking.
As for me, I'm a 31-year-old female who works for Starbucks as an asst store manager in Carson so I’m out of the house 10 hours a day but I get to bring home a pound of coffee a week that becomes community coffee. I hike, bike, backcountry snowboard and more and I have a hound dog who is a lover once she gets to know you.... so dog love is a must as she will adorn you with kisses and bark nicely to be let out.
The second roommate is another long time local and friend. She has a smaller dog(not an ankle biter though 😂) who is the chillest little thang ever.
The dogs are well taken care of but the most we would ask is that if we get stuck off the hill maybe you can help out and watch them every once in a while or let them out in the backyard when you get home.
The rent will be $500 plus utilities which can run anywhere between $50-$75 per person depending on the season and heat usage. My goal is to create a home environment versus a drop in drop out Tahoe flake environment. Deposit is equal to one month's rent and utilities so $575 which fully refundable minus the last month's utilities upon move out after a 30-day written notice given by the first of the month. This is a month to month lease as to not pressure either of us to stay in a roommate situation if it does not work out. I have been in this home for 6 years now and the leaseholder for five. I try to keep a clean house, picking up after myself in the kitchen(not always 100% successful but when I clean it's a deep clean) and trying to vacuum and do a kitchen wipe down and bathroom clean at least every two weeks. Last year, we got the siding of the house redone as well as the carpets. Our new landlords are really taking care of us which is a rare find in Tahoe these days.
This should be a good fit for someone looking to be in the ski run area, within a block of a bus line and two miles to Stateline. Come home to a glass of wine and an easy going relaxing time. That's what I'm trying to accomplish here :) Thanks!
