Copy your audio DATs in digital format to a PC. This laptop will read, write and play audio DATs. You get an exact digital copy of what is on your tapes. No conversion is done.

This is a custom built system for transferring audio DATs to a computer as lossless WAV files. You can later convert them to MP3, FLAC or other formats if you wish.

System consists of:
Dell Latitude D830 with Windows XP
* 4GB RAM
* 220 GB solid state drive
Adaptec SCSI interface for DAT drive
Seagate SCSI DAT drive with special audio firmware
SCSI cable and terminator
Charger for Dell laptop, and power cord for DAT drive
Software to read, write and play audio DATs (read/write is x2 normal speed)

The software will support two DAT drives simultaneously, but only one drive is included. I do have a spare programmed circuit board if you can get another DAT drive of the correct model.
