01/10/26 update!
Please read this note on recalls: someone alerted me to a recall that was placed on the 3400. I looked into it and yes, SOME models of the 3400 were recalled -> ones that were manufactured in Taiwan. My unit has date code: 78613 (i attached a picture) which was NOT on the recall list. Dad and I have owned our table saw for ten years, we use it on and off, and it works great. Cheers.
