CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR – METAL STUD FRAMING - DRYWALL - ACOUSTICAL CEILINGS - LATH - PLASTER
Legacy Specialties, Inc. is hiring a full-time Construction Estimator.
We are a well-established commercial subcontractor specializing in metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, lath & plaster, E.I.F.S. Doors & Hardware. We’re growing and looking for a sharp, motivated estimator who takes pride in accurate takeoffs, clean proposals, and winning work the right way.
WHAT YOU’LL BE ESTIMATING:
Metal stud framing (interior/exterior, shaftwall, heavy gauge, etc.)
Drywall systems (walls, ceilings, specialty assemblies)
Acoustical ceilings (ACT and specialty ceiling systems)
Review drawings, specs, addenda, and RFI responses
Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and risk items
Build clear bid proposals with inclusions/exclusions
Send bid invitations and communicate with suppliers
Request and level vendor quotes
Coordinate with project managers and field leadership on production assumptions
Maintain organized bid folders and estimate backups
SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED):
On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
BUZZBID
Bluebeam Revu
Excel and Outlook
(QuickBooks, Foundation, or similar is a plus)
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
2+ years estimating commercial drywall/framing/ceilings OR strong field experience with the ability to transition into estimating
Strong plan-reading skills and attention to detail
Organized, dependable, and able to meet bid deadlines
Professional communication (email + phone)
Understands jobsite logistics and real-world production
