Legacy Specialties, Inc. is a well-established commercial subcontractor specializing in metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, lath & plaster, and scaffolding. We work throughout Northern Nevada and Central California and are looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role supporting project management and field operations from pre-construction through close-out.
Responsibilities (Assisting With):
Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
Identifying missing information and items needing clarification
Obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing
Preparing and tracking submittals and material approvals
Ordering materials and ensuring jobsite readiness
Coordinating with scheduling to ensure manpower availability
Attending pre-construction meetings, job kickoffs, and coordination calls
Supporting field crews with drawings, specs, and materials
Communicating with customers regarding changes, delays, and quality
Assisting with punch lists, close-out documents, and final billing
Supporting jobsite safety, weekly safety meetings, and OSHA compliance
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of:
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Adobe Acrobat (Bluebeam a plus)
Construction or project coordination experience preferred
Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
