We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices
Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as needed
Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and efficient use of resources
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any concerns or questions
Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, and ensure all safety standards are met before and after each shift
Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and route records for accountability and tracking purposes
Adhere to heavy lifting protocols, weight handling guidelines, and safe manual handling practices throughout daily tasks
Qualifications
Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in loading, unloading, and moving heavy items
Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred
Prior delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and courier services highly desirable
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving items using proper techniques
Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and transportation safety standards
Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual transmissions is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude on the road and in client interactions
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle physical demands of the role
